ONTARIO PNP IMMIGRANT NOMINEE PROGRAM (OINP)

The province of Ontario PNP, which lies in the centre of Canada, is the most well-known entry point for immigrants from outside. Multiple immigration routes make up the Provincial Nominee Program (OINP), which enables foreign nationals to receive the Canada PR Visa. The Ontario PNP has been carefully created to draw immigrants to the province in areas where there is a shortage of labour, such as skilled workers, businesses owners, and investors .

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program oversees the Employer Job Offer, Human Capital, and Business Immigration under the immigration program.Each category is divided into a number of smaller groups.

Candidates may immediately apply for an Ontario nomination from one of five categories . All three of the substreams under Employer Job Offer program and two of the substreams under the Overseas Student program fall under this category.

The province of Ontario also runs three Express Entrance programs for candidates who meet the prerequisites. These usually involve schooling, work history, language proficiency, and the ability to fully settle in Ontario and make a contribution to its economic and social development.

The Entrepreneur Category holds a special status among Ontario’s immigration programmes because it only takes Interested parties. Those who are interested must seek to be chosen and to be sent an admission request; they cannot submit for a candidacy straightaway. However, they really aren’t required to have a current Express Entry account, and as a result, they are also not expected to meet the standards of the any federal immigration programme.

Ontario’s Human Capital Program

Ontario Employer Job Offer Program

Applicants with a legitimate work offer from a company in the province are eligible to apply through Ontario’s employer job offer immigration streams. To be accepted as valid, the job offer and the employer must both meet certain requirements. The candidate must also meet certain eligibility requirements based on the stream to which they want to apply.

Ontario’s Business Immigration Program

Ontario's PNP draws

Every month, the ontario government holds an OINP draw. It sends NOI – Notifications of Interest – to Express Entry pool applicants on a regular basis and invites them to apply for Sponsorship into one of the OINP programs associated with Express Entry. Following the draws, the process and details employed for each search are revealed.

Processing Time For Ontario PNP Application

The time duration for OINP can be separated into two periods:

  1. The time it takes the province of Ontario to offer the nomination
  2. The time it takes for a Canada PR Visa to be approved and issued

 

The province presently forecasts that the bulk of its immigration programs will take 90 to 60 days to process. Express Entry Skilled Trades applications are handled within 60 to 30 days. The approval rates for each Business immigration application are determined on the nature of the individual applicants.

Currently, IRCC at the federal level handles non-Express Entry nomination applications from province in 19 to 15 months. For the Express Entry-aligned streams, the standard average of 6 months is  applicable.

Relevant Work Experience

A minimum of one continuous year of full-time, paid employment is required. Additionally, according to the NOC – National Occupation Classification List, the experience must fall within skill type B, 0 or A. The job experience must have been earned within the past five years of the date on which you submitted your OINP application. Also required is that the occupation match the one you listed in your Express Entry account.

Mastery of a Language

You must demonstrate proficiency in all four IELTS skills—speaking, listening, writing, and reading—at a level of at least 6 bands. English or French are also acceptable languages.

Statement of Funds Provenance

The financial proof shows that you will have enough money upon entry and residence in Ontario to sustain yourself and, if any, any dependent family members. Statements from your bank account, mutual funds, or fixed deposits, if any, can be produced.

Age

When you send your application to Ontario, you must be younger than 49 years old.

Plan of Settlement

If you applied via the OINP, you should present a payment strategy that demonstrates your genuine desire to establish a long-term residence in the province of Ontario.

Calculate Points for Ontario PNP

Before submitting an application through the HCP stream, you must first meet the OINP Points requirement of 67 points and have a sufficient Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score. After earning the required number of OINP points, you can build your Express Entry profile. After that, it will be added to the Express Entry Pool together with the accounts of all other qualified applicants. The CRS score is then determined. The Ontario PNP minimum CRS score is set by the provincial immigration officials.
